A new Islamic group Rasulullahi
Islamic Movement RIM has been launched in Abuja the Federal Capital Territory,
FCT with the aim of propagating Islamic tenets among the Muslim Ummmah in the
country.
RIM headed a renowned Islamic
scholar, Malam Rafiu Aderibigbe Aminu is already having its contacts in the 20
states of the federation and will launched in the entire 36 states in due
course to ensure prompt achievements of its aims and objectives.
The founder and leader of the
group, while speaking at the Abuja branch launching of the new Islamic body,
said that one of the primary aim of the group is to have at least a branch in every
state of the federation Mallam Aminu explained that this will be achieved
before the first quarter of next year as the group has already been established
in 20 out of the 36 states of the federation.
He further stated that the aim of
the group is also to abolish negative aspect of western education among its
members, stressing that this kind of negative aspect of education does not conform
with the teaching of the tenets of Islam.
The Muslim leader also affirmed
during the new branch opening that for women to be respected in the society,
they must not leave their head uncovered and that for women to bear healthy
children with sound mind, they should be subjected to the female circumcision.
According to him the new Abuja
Branch will be headed by Imam Rabiu Saliu and that meetings and prayers will be
held every Sunday from 8:am to 2:pm Mallam Aminu appealed to the Nigerian Muslims
to always engage in promoting genuine tenets of Islamic religion so as to make
Nigeria a crime free society and in more habitable for the citizenry.
The launching was attended by
eminent Islamic preachers and leaders as well as organizations from various
states of the federation.
